I am an engineer by training and an entrepreneur by nature. After leaving my job as a power systems engineer at NASA to work for my own startup company, I uncovered a passion for building startup communities and encouraging women to pursue careers in tech and entrepreneurship. After some time with my own cleantech startup company (7 years to be exact), I decided to fully-commit my career to supporting founders. Today, I have the wonderful opportunity to utilize my talents in relationship-building and advocacy to build an up-and-coming startup ecosystem in NE Ohio. I do this through my work as Executive Director for Launch League, a nonprofit organization that seeks to increase startup success by establishing connections between founders and local resources.
I love sharing my stories of founding a cleantech company, especially with young entrepreneurs and women in tech. I hope this blog provides a channel to communicate these experiences, and can help to inspire its readers. Beyond this site, I also frequent colleges, conferences, and other startup events as a professional speaker, where I share my stories of career transitions and entrepreneurship with students, founders, and others.
